Nanofiber meltblown - maximum efficiency in filtration

Since 2021, we have been producing both standard and nanofiber meltblown nonwovens made of polypropylene (PP) on a classic meltblown line at our site in Detmold. With our innovative nanomelt® technology, we produce nanofiber meltblown nonwovens with a fiber thickness of only 600 nm - and thus enable significantly more efficient filtration compared to conventional meltblown materials.

Our product portfolio includes standard PP meltblown with a basis weight of 17-150 g/m² and nanofiber PP meltblown with a basis weight of 17-50 g/m². This allows us to cover a wide range of applications, particularly in the field of demanding filtration applications.

With the production of nanofiber meltblown nonwovens, we are closing an important gap in the value chain and enabling direct further processing on site. Supplementary processes such as ultrasonic and thermal calendering provide additional versatility in finishing and open up new possibilities for customization.

Innovative technology for efficient filtration

Our nanofiber meltblown technology offers unique advantages over conventional methods and at the same time makes an important contribution to ecological efficiency. The major advance is that there is currently no comparable product on the market. In many filtration applications, nanofiber meltblown can replace costly materials such as glass fiber nonwovens or electrospinning materials - while achieving better filtration performance and lower pressure drops.

Our nanofiber meltblown nonwovens are suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly in air filtration (respiratory masks, HVAC filters, cleanroom technology), in water and liquid filtration (drinking water treatment, industrial processes, food and beverage industry), in medical applications (surgical textiles, protective clothing, sterile filter media), in the automotive industry (cabin air filters, battery filtration, fuel cell technology), in technical filtration (industrial dust removal, environmental technology, chemical processes)
