Biodegradable PP spunbond nonwoven

Disposable packaging, bags, pouches, surface protection

The global production of plastic packaging amounts to 78 million tons per year. After use, only 14% of this packaging is recycled, while 14% is incinerated to generate energy.

Furthermore, 40% ends up in landfills, where it slowly decomposes over decades. In addition, 32% of this packaging ends up uncontrolled in the environment, which represents a significant burden of microplastics for ecosystems.

An analysis of the origin of plastic waste in the sea shows that the Asia-Pacific region is responsible for an impressive 80%. Africa follows with 8%, while South America is well behind with 5.5% and North America with 4.5%. Europe, on the other hand, contributes only minimally to total pollution at less than 1%.

These figures highlight the need for creative solutions to rid the oceans and land masses of plastic waste and prevent further environmental damage.

"The world's first biodegradation technology that enables the complete biological transformation of PP and PE materials."

  • RECYCLING

Time-controlled process to enable an optimal utilization phase and recycling, if a recycling option is available.

  • TRANSFORMS PLASTIC INTO WAX

Converts PP and PE materials into a bioavailable wax that can be easily metabolized by naturally occurring microorganisms.

  • GUARANTEES A SAFE RETURN TO NATURE

After metabolization, neither microplastics nor toxic substances remain.

  • TESTED BY INDEPENDENT LABORATORIES

Tested and certified according to the international standard for biodegradability (BSI PAS 9017), supplemented by EN, ASTM and ISO standards (ASTM D5988/ISO 17556)

  • ENABLES IMMEDIATE SCALABILITY

Integrated into plastics and packaging production to ensure seamless processes.
