Our absorbent pad reliably absorbs leaking liquids, preserves the attractive appearance of meat, fish and other fresh products and extends their shelf life. It reduces the formation of germs, improves kitchen hygiene and is available in various sizes, absorption capacities and special formats - perfectly matched to any packaging.
Recyclability according to CHI standard*
The global production of plastic packaging amounts to 78 million tons per year. After use, only 14% of this packaging is recycled, while 14% is incinerated to generate energy.
Thanks to the use of materials made from a monopolymer (PP), our absorbent pad achieves a potential recyclate yield of 88 to 95%*. This has been confirmed by the independent cyclos-HTP institute and is therefore significantly higher than the recyclability of conventional cellulose absorbent pads, which have a recyclate yield of less than 78%.

The liquid, for example meat juice, penetrates the pad through the bottom layer and is absorbed by the superabsorber in the middle layer. This transforms the liquid into a gel-like substance that remains securely bound and does not return to the tray. The top layer of lint-free PP film prevents the food from coming into direct contact with the pad contents. The membrane-like structure of the middle layer also prevents components of the superabsorbent from migrating into the tray.
